Need info regarding my vitex. Have 6 were 3 ft tall last summer and blooming multiple stalks/trunks. Put buckets around because rabbits were working on them. Sat with buckets through a fairly mild winter for us. Only one hard ice storm which produced about 4" moisture. Most other trees around here are starting to sprout new leaves. These guys have new tender 8" shoots coming from base. Only one has 2 tiny leaves starting about an inch up a preexisting branch. The rest .... nothing. I'm still watering and watching but concerned. Guess I'll keep waiting for a while. Then if no improvement take looping shears and remove last years growth. Those branches are about the diameter of my index finger at their bases. Suggestions? Info?

Vitex tend to leaf out later than most plants. I'm sure yours are fine. There is another thread on here somewhere with the same questions.
