Too many possibilities. With over 84,000 registered daylilies, it's nearly impossible to get an accurate ID from a photo. I'll move this over to the daylily forum and maybe someone may throw in a few suggestions. It does remind me of a Munson bloom but his watermarked daylilies were popular plants in breeding programs so many look similar.
Did you ever know the name or know where you purchased it from?

Hi, I keep a database of my daylilies both in a spreadsheet and with the My Plant app. However, I have not identified this one. I do not have a Munson listed. Based on plant location, it may have been purchased from the late hybridizer Ron Valente. I bought one introduction from him (Katahdin), several Howard Brooks, Moldovan, Lambert, Berrere, Sikes, Spaulding, Salter...those have all been identified.

Check out Cherry Cheeks.
Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Cherry Cheeks')
Cherry Cheeks may be a little redder, though. It is a very popular one, widely available.

@VHarmon,
I think you misread the post.

Thank you for your suggestion to look at Cherry Cheeks which I do not own but I looked at the photo. This daylily flower has a different presentation than Cherry Cheeks...quite flat. More like Open Hearth which I do own. I have no record of purchasing Cherry Cheeks but LaviniaMarie and SCFlowers' photos of Cherry Cheeks are quite similar to mine. Perhaps it just presents as flat in my garden. I will label it Cherry Cheeks. Thank you!!

As soon as I saw your photo. cherry Cheeks was my instant thought. My photo that you referenced is not enhanced at all...it truly is that bright of a color and a dead ringer for yours!

Thank you for confirming this! I have spent hours reviewing my spreadsheets against the database here to no avail, as I have no record of purchasing this lovely daylily. Perhaps it was a bonus plant. It is deservedly popular and I hope to make some crosses with it and spiders now that I am dabbling into hybridization.

Please do not give this a positive ID just based on a photo. The only way to be almost certain is to grow Cherry Cheeks side by side with yours.

I understand your reservations but even side by side, one might need a DNA test. There are uploaded photos that are virtually identical "dead ringers" so I am content. I am just an avid daylily fan satisfying my own curiosity, not a daylily vendor.
