I think Hamwild meant Tradescantia https://garden.org/plants/sear... but it doesn't look like any Tradescantia I've ever seen. Hopefully @purpleinopp Tiffany will be along with suggestions soon ... she's really good at identifying plants and I think she grows a lot of Tradescantia.

My first thought was that the stems and leaves reminded me of a low growing, trailing Asiatic Jasmine that I once had but it also reminds me a bit of Peperomia.

TY for the summons'es. They didn't reach me out in the garden yesterday but I brought some coffee this morning! :+) This plant doesn't seem to fit the ones I've had, wondering if it might be a Commelina sp. Having trouble getting a fix on the scale and seeing the back of the leaves could provide a clue.
