|I have a helpful list of vegetables for Zone 6B Kismet, Fire Island New York. Is there a list of suitable flowering plants, clematis and trees for this area?|

Visit your local (not BigBox) nursery and see what they are selling. Look at your neighbors' yards and in the park to see what is growing.

|Joan, your best resource for that information is your local County Extension service. Many Extension offices have a Plant Clinic or phone/e-mail service for answering questions. Here, our Master Gardeners man the lines 5 days/wk.
Next best would be a local nursery - now I mean a *real* nursery not the garden section at a Lowe's or Home Depot where they will sell all sorts of plants not well adapted to your locale. A nursery will also have knowledgeable staff, where the box stores usually don't.
