so a dummy got on my mower without asking and mowed down my butterfly bush.i cant even see it it's level to the ground now.. the other butterfly bush i saved i put a metal fence around the one the dummy mowed done will it come back up since it wasnt green yet?

i dont have to worry about the dummy it banned from place it stole from me and hurt my was one of my moms so called friends.

I have seen articles about cutting Butterfly bushes to the ground to renew it. Maybe OK.

If it was a healthy bush, it will regrow. Yes, from now on, keep dummies out of the garden and off the mower (and away from dogs).

I agree If it was a healthy bush it should grow back.

we cut ours back to about two feet high every spring and it still grows to six feet high or more by summer.
although I don't think our's could be mowed down. the trunk branches are too thick to cut with a mower.
