I opened a bag a black mulch and in the middle it was grey. Is that mold? Will it hurt my flowers? Besides being unsightly are there any other problems to look out for. I have purchase a great number of these bags and do not want to open any more if there is a problem.

Welcome!

No, its not a problem. The grey stuff is a fungus that will go away with exposure to the sun.

I agree with Daisy -- mix it up a bit, no problem. Smiling
