Plant Database Moderator I was one of the first 300 contributors to the plant database! Dog Lover Sempervivums Container Gardener Foliage Fan
Does any one grow this. I planted one last year but don't think it came through the winter. I googled but found little good information.

I do grown H. acutiloba and H. americana. Have had both for several years. Here, they're not aggressive growers and they can be late to emerge. Usually the flowers (if any) bloom first before the leaves emerge. They survived here on benign neglect I guess. The flowering varies from year to year.

Ok, slow to emerge, so maybe it just hasn't put on any growth. It is in a shady area and we have been unseasonably cold this spring. Thanks, I will keep watching.
