I love to garden and quilt.
My magnolia tree has brown leaves on it and dead limbs. We cut 2/3 off and there is only a few green leaves at the bottom. Should we cut it all the way down or leave it. Should we do anything to help it. We had a crazy winter . Warm one day cold the next, and a drought last fall. But didn't see any damage to magnolia tree til now. Waiting for answers. Thanks. Lives in Northeast mississippi and had a 6 year old little gem magnolia tree .
I am happy while growing flowers or trees.

I would be inclined to cut all the dead parts off and then wait to see what it does.
