Definitely a Philodendron. Kind of looks like Philodendron 'Congo' to me.

Your lovely plant does look like Philodendron (Philodendron tatei subsp. melanochlorum 'Congo')

I had a large Philo years ago that was labeled 'Congo' but I'm not sure it's the same as the one listed in our database. This is an old pictures of my plant:

I also use to have this one labeled Philodendron 'Rojo Congo'

Ya, 'Rojo Congo' is a very similar hybrid that has reddish new leaves. Both are nice hybrids!

I especially loved the Rojo Congo but I haven't seen either around in awhile ... I lost both of mine to freak winter freezes one year.
