I pulled about a hundred of these from where I'm trying to grow other things. I left this one because I'm curious what it is (and probably left hundreds more in places I haven't looked at closely).
They have a significant tap root well before they get to this (still small) size. I think that implies a lot of energy from the seed (rather than from initial photosynthesis). Large number of large seeds seems to imply a large plant. I expect it is a tree. But I have so little visual memory for the shape of leaves, and online decision tree tools don't work well for seedlings.
I'm pretty sure it isn't a tree near enough for the seeds to just fall where they grew, so the seeds must be moved by birds or animals.
