This shrub was given to me but my friend did not know the name. I would love to know the name. Can anyone tell me what I have?

I really don' t have a clue but take a look at the blooms and leaves on Choisya ternata to see if that is even close.

My first thought was maybe Deutzia of some sort but the leaves don't look right. It does remind me of Philadelphus that I had a few years ago. Are the blooms fragrant? P. coronarius has fragrant blooms. I had the scentless one for a number of years:

A couple of others for comparison:

Is it flowering right now in PA? Is it possible to post a picture of a branch with more leaves, and maybe one of the whole plant?

Take a look at and compare to Exochorda racemosa (Pearlbush) or related species like Exochorda x macrantha.

Agree with John...Exochorda racemosa.
Flowers of Philadelphus normally have 4 petals (unless doubles)
Choisya ....leaves are 3 lobed.
So these 2 can be ruled out.

If it is Pearlbush (Exochorda racemosa) we could use some additional photos in our database.
