Arlene, as usual, all are so lovely, but that first one, sdlg row b, #1,
my goodness, what brilliant colors in that one, not to mention
the symmetrical pattern. The widths of the sepal pattern is very
eye catching.

Thanks so much for showing these beauties.

Hope you continue to have no pain with the dental work.

Shirlee, it is what it is! I don't have a program to adjust colors. I do the basics and if Dan wants to use his program he can. Me, I just take the pictures. That is one vibrant bloom! Very unusual. I used to be a Garden Judge and that probably leads me to take pictures like this.

Don't know, easy enough to find out. The Trimmers are very busy, so I'll ask next Saturday.

Arlene thanks for sharing all those beauties. Love the same seedling everyone is raving about. If Mr Trimmer put that on the LA it would be a mad house of deep pocket proportions. Just saying.

He's not sure he will introduce it. It doesn't have very many fans right now, but on rebloom it is less impressive than it is on first bloom. I saw it and didn't take a pic.

Here is one more picture I found on this computer. I took the picture on May 3. It's a beauty!

This isn't a picture that Dan would use because it has more than one flower in the picture.

Hi, I am in Florida now visiting a daughter near Tampa. How many gardens did you see? What would you recommend? We are on our way back to KY and will be taking the scenic route thru St Augustine and Savannah and maybe Asheville.

Teresa, I only went to Watermill. I've done this Mecca thing so many times that I'm not interested in traveling over to the Orlando area--lots of traffic. It's a matter of good gardens that are easy for me to visit!

The gardens are somewhat grouped. Nicole and Pete Harry are north of I-4 in Eustis and Travares, respectively. As you stay on I-4 heading east, you will cross the St. John's River. Immediately east of the river, is the town of Enterprise (just south of I-4) and both Water Mill (Jane and Dan Trimmer) and Floyd Cover (Guy and Karen Pierce) are on Enterprise-Osteen Road a block or so from each other. Further east on I-4 is the town of Lake Helen and Luddy and Rachael Lambertson are there just a few blocks north of I-4.

One more thing. As you take the scenic route through St. Augustine ... there are 2 nurseries on A1A just south of St. Augustine and they are a treat! In the town about 1/2 mile before the bridge of lions is a small restaurant on the left side of A1A (you will be on Anastasia Island by then) and it's called Osteens. It has the best fried shrimp in Florida and it's cash only. Family run and the waitresses usually work there 10-20 yr. We will be up there to eat at lunch on Thursday--that's fried okra day on the veggie menu. We've been going there for at least 28 yr.

The most important thing is to enjoy yourself! Send me a tree mail if you need anything!
