He Gang!
The bulbs for this plant were thought to be crocus, but lo and behold, not crocus! It just started blooming, and it turned out to be quite a pleasant surprise, but I would love to know what it is!

Thanks a bunch!

Does.

In the invasive Plant Atlas of the U.S..
Had a bit of it in our garden, but found it much easier to control than other invasive spring bulbs (namely some Chionodoxa and Puschkinia).

Oh no problem, Ask A Question forum is for any question, ID included, but we have members that love that ID Forum and you probably have more input plus it has that option to actually mark it as solved and it puts an 'Identified' by the thread header. Can't do that in the AAQ forum. nodding

Well I think it's figured out! I read a review where it is so invasive that it's difficult to eradicate.... Is it really so invasive that it becomes a nuisance, though? There is a decent amount of space where it is located, although I'm sure the answers can be somewhat subjective... Shrug!

I've grown it, and.... In good garden soil, it does spread a bit.... But.... I've been observing it in another garden, and it seems to be perfectly behaved there...
I personally would grow it again.
