Well here is my office grown Gloriosum. It's completely root bound and about to overtake the office. I knew it was a runner but I had no idea it would run this much. That stalk is over 40 inches long. It's beautiful but I have to do something. Is there some way to start a new plant from this one?

You should be able to just root the new stem (or stems if you want to cut it to multiple pieces) by partially burying it in the soil length-wise. Keep moist but not wet and they should root.

That said, I can't do anything with Gloriosums but kill them, so take that with a grain of salt. I have plenty of Philodendron species, but these just keel over as soon as they see me coming. Glare

No way Carter. You must have got your hands on some defective ones. You grow such perfect plants, always.

I only wish! Lol! I can grow a lot of things, but I've never grown one of these and kept it happy for any length of time.
