Hi everyone,

I was curios if anyone has bought any of the hibiscuses off of ebay. Of so, have you been happy with the purches? Dis they do well? Also, were they what they were presented as? Thanks.

I have. There are several growers that I've bought from and have sent nice grafted plants. Plant_maniac is one of them. I believe tropeconursery is another, but not 100% on that one. Bah! Now ya made me look! D'Oh! I was doing so well staying away from e(vil)Bay! *Blush*

I buy plants there a lot. I had many problems buying seeds there. The seeds were not what they were supposed to be. Just be sure to check their feedback, and read a few reviews. There are some great plant sellers there. I like adenium_ko, cowboyflowerman, greeneman, nsetropicals, raresans, rdobermans, and plant_maniac.

Not from ebay, but I did buy from HSN or Evine (don't remember). They were supposed to be plants that put out two diff color flowers and dinner plate size D'Oh! , that was a FLOP!!! Grumbling Thumbs down

The do have a seller called Georgiavine on ebay and i have been looking at them for a few days now.

I've seen georgiavines. They have very good positive feedback, but I'd be leery of buying seed from anyone who lists over a thousand listings of different plants/seeds. That tells me they are buying bulk and you are not necessarily buying seed from plants they have grown themselves. That can be said for anyone selling seeds on eBay, of course, just seems more likely to me if the seller has thousands of listings. I have -0- experience with them and they may be perfectly legit, I've just shied away from them (and a number of other sellers) for that reason.

And by the time you've grown out the seeds and realize you either didn't have good germination or didn't receive the variety you purchased, the option to leave appropriate feedback is passed.

Again, I have no experience with them specifically, and they may be very good upstanding sellers, that's just my gut feeling in regards to these kinds of plant/seed sellers.

I've bought seed from Georgia Vines and was happy with them. I bought direct from their website, not ebay.

Just purchased 4 plants from plantmaniac. All the plants were great. Only issue I had was a plant I purchased 5 years ago turned back into a pride of hankins last year. Only issue I see with buying grafted plants.

I've been looking on Ebay to find plantmaniac. I'm not finding that ID. Could you please send me a treemail with the ID and url? Thanks!
