Hello. We live in a clearing in a redwood forest in northern California. This early May morning morning is cool and sunny - promising a beautiful day. I wish you could hear the birdsong. It's mating and nesting season and the calls are both beautiful and raucous!
Nature is constantly encroaching on the part of our land that is tamed. We use no herbicides or pesticides - growing organically - loving this land too much to poison it. So it always looks a bit shaggy! But we do what we can.

Here's a little tour of part of the seven gardens. This is the path from the back fenced gardens;

Jan! gorgeous gardens and a wonderful philosophy. If we live in nature, we must share with nature. I am with Rob about the rustic gate. It is individual and lends a feeling of 'home' to your garden. Lovely gardens.

Thanks everyone! And thanks for the comments about the old gate. Chris made it from downed tree lumber,
using his chainsaw to carve out the notches. It's about 25 years old now. - so it's old!

Me too. I go to them like a moth to a flame. My whole garden would be
full of them if DH didn't restrain me. Taking pictures gives him a certain
amount of veto power!

Actually, it looks like Celtic Dancer. Those Dancers must belong to the same union!

I think you're right, the style arms on Peking Dancer have some color to them. Sure do look alike though.
