Hello. We live in a clearing in a redwood forest in northern California. This early May morning morning is cool and sunny - promising a beautiful day. I wish you could hear the birdsong. It's mating and nesting season and the calls are both beautiful and raucous!
Nature is constantly encroaching on the part of our land that is tamed. We use no herbicides or pesticides - growing organically - loving this land too much to poison it. So it always looks a bit shaggy! But we do what we can.
Here's a little tour of part of the seven gardens. This is the path from the back fenced gardens;
and up around to the main bed:
A few of the many iris blooming this morning include:
Volcanic Glow (probably blooming too soon for the iris show in 4 days!)
Daring Deception and Australian Rose
Thanks for visiting! More later...
