The Epiphyllum Oxypetalum is also called the "Orchid Cactus" and the "Queen of the Night". Their night-blooming flowers are so beautiful and so fragrant that people often have Queen of the Night parties just to enjoy the sight of their blooming. My plants bloom in late spring and through the summer and though the flowers (generally) open up in the evening hours, the flowers can remain open till around mid-morning. These plants are super-easy to grow and their cuttings are very easy to root. I grow these plants both in 6"-8" pots, sitting on a shelf or on a plant stand, but I grow most of mine in 10"-12" hanging baskets, allowing room for their pendent stems to drape over the basket.
Since you really need to root a minimum of three cuttings per pot or basket to achieve the best presentation, I suggest you purchase at least three. I send growing/rooting instructions with these plants. Cuttings are only $4.00, and will be a substantial 8-10" long.
I also have rooted plants, large and small.
