This plant is very young and has tiny white flowers and tiny pods.

Interesting suggestion. Hmm...

2 species with leaves like that for comparison, both do their best in as much sun as possible:
Purslane (Portulaca umbraticola)
Common Purslane (Portulaca oleracea)

Blooms make it easy to distinguish between the two. P. oleracea blooms are always very small and yellow.
