Hi everyone. New to this site!

I got this plant over a year ago, and I have no idea what it is. The guy at the store said it was a hibiscus, but it isn't.

Does anyone know what this is? I live in Florida - it was available in several plant shops a couple years ago, but I haven't seen them around since.

:thankyou:

Welcome to the forums TommyPlantMaster.

You are correct it is not Hibiscus...looks like Abutilon pictum.

Wow, thank you, Silversurfer for your very prompt and dead on identification.
I had a couple of these, and they both did really well and then went from very healthy to losing all of their leaves and dying in less than a week.
I have no idea what's killing them but it happened the same way to both plants at different times in different circumstances. I wonder if you have any ideas as to what's going on? Now that I know what they are, I'll be able to research more thoroughly. Thank you again.
