Just received my order from Logee and I purchased a Ephipyllum hybrid and the only name it has is Orchid Cactus 'Pink'. The others were on the list to add to my list but I could not find this. Can one of you help me find it on the plant list so I can add it to my list. Thanks. Confused D'Oh!

Yeah, I see that Logees website shows the hybrid cultivar as 'Pink': http://www.logees.com/orchid-c...

I found it listed at a couple of other places too: https://almostedenplants.com/s...
http://plantlust.com/plants/28...

I don't know if there's an Epiphyllum registry or not so I'm not sure if it's a registered hybrid or who gave it that name but it's being sold by 3 places as 'Pink'.

How do I get it into my plant list? Will you please let me know? Are we permitted to add it to the plant Database?

I got interested in this question. The Cat of Life doesn't seem to have it, but it certainly is all over the web.

I don't think the CoL shows cultivars.

I Tmailed eclayne. We will see. I posted on Houseplants the new vendor I got some new Epips from if you are interested. It is amazing what you find on Amazon. I am really impressed with this lady.

Many vendors just give plants a color label but that doesn't make it a cultivar.
Best way to treat this one is to use the generic entry Epiphyllum

Just type in the genus, epiphyllum in this case, into the database search box. The main generic entry is at the top.

When I add plants to my plant list with the generic plant entry, I like to add the name I bought it under in the notes section. It helps me to clarify which plant it is when I have more than one generic of that genus.

I do something similar. I really enjoy my plant list. I find plants I forgot I had and also wonder what I did with them. I should remove them I guess but I find it helpful to look back and see what I had and how it did.

I think that is one great feature about the plant list, you can mark plants as "used to have", and use that as a reference. No need to delete them, and if they should some how show back up just take them out of that category.
