I picked this clematis up last weekend at the garden store. There were 7-8 huge buds on it that were ready to burst. Luckily, it was a leftover from last year, with no ID tag and no price tag. The sales person and I "agreed" on $15 bucks.
We've had downpours the last few days and the blooms started two days ago.
Checking out the Monrovia clematis gallery, where this clematis came from, here are a few possibilities:
- Viva Polonia - probably not. They flower in June/July
- Little Mermaid Clematis
- Nelly Moser - That's what I thought when the first bloom opened up two days ago. Now's it's more red than pink, and there's no white.
I appreciate any info that would be provided.
Thanks in advance.

|I'm not sure how that gallery works, but there is a strong possibility that they update it yearly w whatever varieties they currently offer. Which means it may not be what is on that list. I do think you can rule out Nelly though. As far as bloom at a certain time, w artificial environment, it may bloom any time. Once it is established bloom time should be more accurate.

My first thought was Clematis 'Ville de Lyon' but yours has more petals and they are more pointed than rounded.
Of the ones you listed, it does seem to match Clematis Star Burst™
