This is a weed I pulled out of our St. John's Wort patch that I hadn't seen before. They're "sticky", not in a gooey way, but in a clinging way.

We always called it Bedstraw (Galium aparine). Its a native annual.

Yep, that's it, aka "goose grass". It looks rather invasive, so I'm treating it as such. Or maybe some geese will show up and do the job for me.

Its a native and an annual. I wouldn't consider it invasive. I've always rather enjoyed it. (I've spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out how to make a bed out of if though).

I agree I like that it is green during our winter season. My dogs like it because it is a tasty treat. I also allow it to grow to feed to my rabbits - cuts down on the feed bill. Thumbs up
Best to pull most of it up before it fully goes to seed so you can control just how much will be growing next year.

It's in the SJW patch so I'm going to treat it as a weed. Either that or get a dog who likes them!

Just open the gate and let in the bunnies.

I've seen rabbits from time to time. They're not much fun, still rather get a dog!
