I'm a garden novice! Just noticed these small white grub-looking friends in the soil. What are they and what should I do? Thanks!

Welcome!

I don't know much about bugs but they look like termite larvae to me.

A little hard to tell, but I thought the same thing. (Might need to take the "r" out of "friends," if that's the case!)

They look very much like termites to my old eyes.
Termites in the house are bad; in the garden and in the forest where they belong, they are good. You decide. Thumbs up
