My camera (phone) now automatically stores all my pictures in google photos which means I no longer need to save my pictures to my computer. In order to post a picture here on the forums I cannot use these files though, so still need to save the picture first before sharing it. If I could use the copy-and-paste function I could instantly share pictures here. Is this something that would be possible?

That could work, or it might be able to be made to work. If the service gives you a bb code for sharing the file, I think you can use that in the forums here.
