Hi,

Does anyone know what this plant is called and if it is poisonous to humans?

Want to decorate a cake with it (:

Thanks!

Can't help you with the identification from just a photo of a sprig, but, please...do not add any unidentified plant to an edible item ever. Also, you have no way of knowing if the plant harbors any disease or might have been sprayed with pesticides.

There are some sites that list non-toxic plants/flower to be used in cake decorating but I would do so with caution as you may not know which guests might have an allergic reaction. Here is an example of such a site:

Hope someone will come along to give you an identification soon.

Please can you add a clear pic to show the flowers open...also one to show the whole plant.
How tall does it grow...is it a shrub...is it evergreen or dothe leaves drop off in winter????
