Purchased this plant a few years back at Desert Botanical Garden sale. It was on the "please buy me" Hilarious! bench. I lost the tag : Thumbs down It is a trooper & has withstood a few summers of desert heat.

Thank You! in advance.

It looks like Anemopsis californica ...a water side plant.

Quote wiki..".The monotypic genus Anemopsis has only one species, Anemopsis californica, with the common names yerba mansa or lizard tail."

Quote. from link above......."Plant Anemopsis californica in wet mud in a stream edge/bog garden or with 1 - 2cm (1/2 -1" approx) of water over the top of the basket in a sunny or shaded pond or container pond. "

@Silversurfer Thank You! Yes, that is it! It doesn't live near the water in my yard, but I do water it often and move it to a shadier spot when the temperature climbs. I will make a label for it now. Your expertise is much appreciated. I tip my hat to you.
