Does this plant have a disease or is this sun damage? I tried googling it and couldn't find anything about it! In case the photo isn't clear enough, the spots are just red outlines, not solid red.

I included a picture of a couple different plants. One is healthy and unaffected, the small cutting is completely covered, and the tall plant has some spotting but the new growth looks ok. Thank you in advance!

It looks healthy except for those spots. I'm curious about them, too.

Hello Caesurra, some Crassulas develop those red markings, typically when there is a change in temperature and light exposure. Typically if they were growing in more shade before then getting more light now as seasons change. But it is not damaging. I have observed that similar attribute with other types of Crassula like Crassula ovata and Crassula arborescens.

Your Crassula perfoliata var falcata is very pretty! Love those red markings! Lovey dubby

When you turn to Google for information start by typing in the common name that you know (propeller plant) and add the words 'botanical name'. Then go back into Google using the correct botanical name for you plant and you will find more information. Thumbs up Thumbs up Thumbs up

I'd never heard of Propeller Plant (Crassula perfoliata var. minor) but it sure is a cool looking Crassula and I really like the looks of it with those red spots. You should consider uploading a couple of your photos to the database!

Aha! The plant in that picture has even more red than mine! Thank you for the googling tip, Greene. I usually try to look things up before I ask, so maybe now I can find more answers for myself. Smiling

Lin, I've never added pictures to the database but I would like to! How do I go about doing that?

Caesurra, go to this page Propeller Plant (Crassula perfoliata var. minor) and on the left you will see an area at the top left that says Adding Actions. The very first one is Upload A Photo; click there and then on the green bar that says Upload an Image. Select the picture from your computer. You will then see a slightly pulsating green bar that says uploading and after a few seconds a screen appears showing a little thumbnail size of your picture; check off on the left what the photo is of; the Entire Plant, Bloom, Leaves, etc. Then at the very bottom left of the page click where it says Submit Photo. It will go into a queue for the database administrators to approve and you will get a system message once it's in the database and you will receive an Acorn for your image. Green Grin!

I'm not always good at explaining things so just give a shout out if you have any trouble!
