I grew some godetia from seed that I got from various places. I planted them outside a few weeks ago and the first plant is blooming. It is not what I expected but I'm not surprised since it was always different from the other seedlings (larger & bushier). Here are pictures of the plant and flower. Is it Mountain garland?

Its a California native - Clarkia unguiculata - but when I googled it, the common name is Mountain Garland. I grew up in the California foothills and we always called it Clarkia. Smiling

I figured it was in the same family as godetia. I actually have seeds for it but hadn't grown it yet. These were swap seeds so at least I got something close to what was on the packet. Smiling Thank You!
