I tried to order this one for spring. Was told they had a crop failure.

How do you like it so far?

Hi Dave, it seems a little small to me, but they were bombarded by Rabbits that eat some of the noses and the buds even. It is a beautiful lily though.

It is a Griesbach bulb
Most likely a tetraoloid. How big is the bloom? And are thr dark bottom of the petals close to black?

Dave, I am rather clueless when it comes to these lilies as I have only started collecting a few bulbs the past couple years. My knowledge about the Lily is seriously lacking. When the big white Lily bloomed, I discovered that my DW likes these a lot and now wants me to incorporate more. That said, I guess I had better get more familiar with them.

All of the cultivars that I have came from bags at the local big box store.

I'll see if I can get some finer details about this one, later today. It may be tomorrow before I get the data for you, but will.
I'll estimate it to be right around 4" though.

Morning Dave,

I have the stats you requested. The blooms average around 3.5" - 4". The plants themselves stand anout 23-23" tall.

Here are a couple of photos taken this morning.

I must tell you too, that these are planted in a not so ideal area of my landscape. It's in the driest zone and catches all afternoon sunlight. If moved they may perform a bit better. Perhaps that is something I'll take on in the fall.
