Insect and Bug ID forum: Zebra striped spider?

I saw this guy in the backyard about 5 years ago, and its always bothered me to know what it was as I've never seen a spider like it here in Saskatoon, and no of Google searches I do for spider identification lead anywhere.

It's legs were solid black, not striped like most images I'm finding that even slightly resemble it. The legspan would be about the size of a dime or nickel I would guess. The stripping continued all the way over its back to the other side, there were no breaks or dots or anything in the middle of its back.
