I grow iris and want to have many different flowers blooming when they are dormant. Since Iris do not like to be in damp soil what can I plant along a fence?

This particular bed has no Iris. I moved them to a drier, sunny bed.
In dry sun, I've grown things like Bee Balm (Monarda), Lilies, Sunflowers, and Sedum.
Have fun growing!
