Late fall or early spring. Whats your winters like ? You may be able to do it, any time between, fall to spring.

Without knowing your zone, cuttings can be taken of geraniums spring through fall. I took cuttings last month, stuck them in potting soil and I now have more of my favorite scarlet geraniums. When you take cuttings, plant immediately in potting soil. Water. Let soil get somewhat dry (you will have to keep your eyes on it) so that new forming roots have to seek water and therefore grow. I would water at least once a week until established. It should take about a month. If you wait until fall, take cuttings, plant immediately, bring in and put in southern window. Geraniums need all the light they can get. And don't forget to fertilize.
