My husband and I live in West Sacramento and would like to know if a me quite tree would do well in our growing zone.

I'm not sure about all mesquite but Honey Mesquite will grow really well in your area. I hope your yard is big.

BTW, if you live in West Sac, your hardiness zone is higher than 8. I would guess 9 or 10.

If you don't prune, 30 feet tall and 30 feet wide. I pruned mine a lot - good BBQ wood. The thorns are a little daunting though.
