My ex took me on a road trip for the day and I got lots of great nature-y photo's I thought ya'll might like to see them too.

Not too sure if this is a Strangler Fig or a Banyan Tree but I thought these roots were awesome!

This one is definitely a Strangler Fig devouring a palm:

This ''canopied' street was beautiful!

The lighthouse. A friend's grandfather was the last keeper of this lighthouse.

I don't know why but I loved all these pilings against the water (and took way too many pictures of them---like it was some sort of nautical Stonehenge or something!) Hilarious!

We found a (closed) flower shop that had the most interesting stuff and a gorgeous garden, with a couple of HUGE staghorn ferns!:

And we saw lots of Ospreys and Iguanas, I posted most of them in the Bird Photos and Critter Week threads if you're interested, but here are a couple of shots:

Beautiful tour, thanks Patty. I especially love the "boat house" with the paintings along the side.

Speaking of never getting to talk to you . . . thankfully we wrapped up the school garden yesterday so I am now recovering. I'm sure you'll be on the computer more now that the weather has heated up, right?

Tropiflora has their summer sale on June 23rd . . . let me know if you want to go?

I seem to always be busier than I want to be or should be for that matter. Thankfully, everything slows to a crawl in the summer heat.

Who knows Elaine! Shrug! I just spent most of the last 3 weeks helping a friend pack up and empty her home of 17 years where her kids grew up and her son lived and died (of luekemia at 16) so she could move to Ireland to be wih her husband who is battling throat cancer!

This is my time to re-stock baskets & stuff for all the fall shows, and I have CEU's to get and just a laundry list of crap to accomplish!

NO, thank you very much, but I am not going out into this heat for Tropiflora...that can wait till October as far as I'm concerned! As a matter of fact, I believe that will be my very first show in the fall!

I haven't even gone to the Orchid Society meetings for the last couple of months! Think you might want to go to that on June 5th?? Call me when you get a chance...it's always pretty easy to pick up the phone when it's ringing! Maybe we can do lunch or something (in air conditioning!).....

Great pics Patty. I had to look up where Boca Grande was on the map and then I remembered a good friend's family had a vacation home there 50 years ago!

When I grow up I want a boat named "Bacon & Eggs" like the one on that neat looking wall.
