I plant stuff all over the yard, I know I put some kind of seeds in this area last year, but I don't think they come up, so not
sure if this is a weed or a Flower, any ideas?

It would be most helpful if you could let us know where you live. (No, not your address, says Ms SmartyPlants.) Rather, what state? And do you know what Zone you're in?

Do you remember what kinds of seeds you planted last year? Some times things are slow growers and the time of year that you threw the seeds out would make that difference. But if you could remember then it would help.

An uneducated guess is that it might be some type of salvia. Or possibly a type of mint. Hopefully someone who is more knowledgeable will come along and be able to ID your plant. Good luck!

Sorry, I put "South NJ" in the post where it asked for "Location" I thought it would show up on here. Tons of different seeds All around, but looking up your idea, I do think I planted some of those Salvia Butterfly attracting plants, so you may be right.

@puck88816 - Don't worry. This website has so many features and so much info and so many members (some helpful, some crazy, and no! wait! I didn't say that, did I?) that it can be hard to settle in. Here's how you add your location and whatever else you want to share. I tend not to share much mostly b/c of where I live.

Anyway, in the upper right of the screen you'll see an icon that looks like a little person. Pull it down and there will be a little menu. Click on the menu item that says Your Profile. Then you'll see where it gives you the option to 'Change your public profile'. Click on that and you can enter whatever you like. What most of us like to see (and usually crab about if missing) is your Location and your USDA Hardiness Zone. Be sure to 'save' before you exit that screen!

Back to your Weed or Flower question, it sounds like you might have found the Salvia database and flipped through it. There's a multitude of salvias/sages with many different types of flowers and leaves. What came to mind for me is Blue Anise Sage (Salvia coerula 'Black and Blue') and Pineapple Sage (salvia elegans). The first because I've been making some transplants of it this week and the second because I love it but can't seem to grow it here. But your weed/flower could be anything. Here's the link to the Salvias database.
The Salvias Database

Maybe someone more knowledgeable will jump in and correct me. But I think it's not a weed.

Is it possible to post larger photos, perhaps close-ups of the leaves and stems? Your photos don't enlarge when clicked, they shrink smaller.
