Our Iowa Spring has been odd, to say the least. I want to direct sow my Four'O Clocks, Morning Glories, Cosmos & Nasturtiums. I usually do not soak or "nick" my seeds, but am wondering if I should the hard-shelled ones, since I'm running late this year. What are the rest of you doing?

Yes you can, but I would soak the hard shelled one's to be on the safe side, it's got to warm up soon, I read that this summer is going to be hotter than normal..
