I ordered a small sized tree, and the one I got looks plain green, no variegation in leaves, but it said leaves lose variegation in warner weather, so was I duped or is this normal?

I've never had it, Keith, but I've seen multiple pics of the same tree looking entirely different in each pic. Bet yours will do the changes too. I love it when they look pink and white!

There seems to be a lot of variation within this cultivator. I suspect that what you got is what you get - its not going to suddenly be variegated if it isn't now.

I ordered a Full Moon maple a couple years ago from Forest Farms in Oregon. It was supposed to leaf out brilliant orange but it didn't. When I called them on it, they admitted that their version of this moon maple had never had the color they were advertising. They had found their photo on the internet and described that tree, not the version they were selling.

If you aren't happy with your tree, get your money back.
