I enjoyed showing a mother (dentist), her daughter, and her mother around my tropical plant "operation" for almost three hours. If not for the fact they all needed lunch, they would perhaps still be here, asking questions and picking out plants to take home. The trip up was over 300 miles round-trip and that's really unusual to have anyone drive that distance to see what a hobbyist grower does. Heck, its unusual to have anyone visit at all, at least for my plants. 95+% of what I sell, I ship.

Sounds like a family bonding day trip. once upon a time I might have done that kind of trip alone, just for a change. Not likely to happen anymore. Hilarious!

Not with me either, Carol. But I like entertaining guests. This DMD was a youngster, as you probably figured out.

Gosh Ken, I have to drive 80 miles, one way, just to get to decent nursery. 150 one way would not be that unusual. On Tuesday I'll be driving 150 miles to see my dentist; he's a winner so I choose to go that far and back.
