|Really need to know where you live.
Hear in fresno ca. For jack-o-lantern pumpkins, they plant them on July 4th.
I would plant them, a month, pluse, the mature date, before your first frost date.
Anything i say, could be misrepresented, or wrong.

|Yep, Philip (I spelled that right, right?) has it right. You need to count backwards from when you want them ripe and plant accordingly.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming...."WOW What a Ride!!" -Mark Frost

|We had a friend who maintained a pumpkin patch -- he just tilled under the old pumpkins and let them re-seed themselves. Worked well. That doesn't really answer your question, but I'd just pop them in.
I want to live in a world where the chicken can cross the road without its motives being questioned.
