I'd LOVE to have a continuous blooming red climber that would be hardy in my zone. "They" say that now I'm considered 5a, but personally I think that's pushing it.............a lot!!!!!!! I still say 4. Anyway, my sister has a gorgeous red climber that blooms all summer. The blooms are large (I'd say almost tea rose size) and several in a cluster. She doesn't know the name, which wouldn't do ME any good because she lives in France! Whistling

Any suggestions?

The only rose I can think of is 'Quadra'

I'd rather weed than dust ... the weeds stay gone longer.

Amanda, it says that Duke of Edinburgh is a bush, and I want a climber. A vigorous climber. LOL

Well, I live in Denmark, so not sure if my suggestion is available to you, but it should grow well in your zone:

You don't know if it will grow until you try!

If you want to grow what your sister is growing you may have to move to France.. Big Grin

Quadra has a lot of fans, I think. It's true red and pretty cold hardy.

Here are some more from the Canadian breeding program, but they may not be what you had in mind.
-Henry Kelsey - Cold hardy and probably vigorous enough to work as a climber
-Alexander McKenzie - Cold hardy and probably vigorous enough to work as a climber
-Captain Samuel Howard

--
If you could give up on the red specification, John Davis would put on a good show.

If you want to push your luck on the cold hardiness front you might try Florentina.
