This year has been very challenging, as the weather here has been difficult -
cold, rainy and windy - and it all arrived just as the Iris were beginning to bloom..

Thank You, Tom. The only thing I noticed this year is that the flowers on most of the Iris were smaller in size than they were last year. Do you know why that would happen ? Thank You!

Patrick, I agree this has been a year of challenges. The weather in our region has been kind of rough as of late. But it looks like you have come through really nice as your pictures show. Thanks for sharing some very nice irises and pictures.

I've had "smaller blooms", and, to an extent, taller stalks, this season. I'm sure that weather conditions are the main reason, although soil fertility vs. clump size has an effect, as well.

Alan ~ Have you ever gone to Bluebird Haven Iris Gardens website? They have over 4000 historic irises.
I have 'Grape Expectations' for making progress in the gardens....
