Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Larry! I don't think I need one of those!

Bronchioscopy… that's the right one. And now they can't decide if I need it or not. Meanwhile, I have had no food or water since 12:00 pm yesterday. We're coming up on 24 hours.

I'm so sorry to hear that, Zoia. It's bringing back bad memories of an emergency trip to the hospital I had over the summer. I hope they figure it out and decide soon. Hospital food isn't that great, anyway, but it's better than intervenous nutrients and fluids. Take care and do your best to do what they tell you.

Thanks Tim! I talked them into letting me go. They want to do the procedure but we'll aim for Tuesday. That way I can get to my rehearsal tomorrow morning. I really didn't want to hang out here for another day. And I live 10 minutes from here. I will have to shuffle my students around though.

Thanks Tim. It all worked out great. I got to my rehearsal today and tomorrow I'm going to Zoom with my kids at SPS. They are done by 1:30, my daughter arrives at 2:00 and drops me off at 2:30…like clockwork! Crossing Fingers! Crossing Fingers! Thumbs up

Meanwhile, doctor's orders, I'm not supposed to drive anywhere far so no teaching live tonight either. My students opted not to Zoom, so…

I think I'll go put lights on my new stand! Maybe even plant the seeds! Hurray! Hurray!

Pretty much finished up the mulch hauling this past weekend, I know I will still be getting more, but all the beds are now mulched.
So freeze warning again last night and another frosty morning. Still however, no rain. So I let it warm up some and got all the seedlings planted in cups watered, then I got the bed with sculpted relief watered. As I was watering I was really surprised to discover 'Pleated Pumpkin' was sending up a new scape!!! Never expected that. I got it in a trade with Marcia here on the forum in September of this year, it was a very healthy plant and it has remained that way.

Got back from Thanksgiving trip, and after dropping my bag my first thing was to run up to the daylily seedlings growing in my new wicking watering setup (described on page 363). After a full week of no human attention the seedlings are all so happy they told me to go away again for another week, I am not needed anymore. Sticking tongue out
The water reservoir still has plenty water left down there. And the seedlings all look much bigger than when I left them.

Sorry about your hospital trip, Zoia. This is the first thread I have read since a week. I will probably learn more from the other ones.

Nice, Tim.
Did you harvest the saffron?
Apparently saffron is more expensive than gold, weight for weight.
We should all be planting it.

No, I haven't tried that, yet. I'm not sure exactly what kind of crocuses are out there, and I don't know enough about them to know if there are any that can make me sick, so I just leave them alone. I have bought saffron, so I know you are right about it being expensive.

Also, Mike, I have a couple small patches of colchicum and autumn crocuses that work well together to make the neighbors think I'm a witch for getting crocuses to grow in the fall. They do look nice in a group. The colchicum bloom first, then the fall crocuses. Together they can have a nice little bloom season.

I tried cyclemen and didn't have any luck. My neighbor has some that grow like weeds in his yard. I haven't seen his bloom, but I like the foliage.

Oh, and if anyone is thinking of trying it, definitely don't harvest the colchicum. Very bad for plant nibbling pets and humans I've heard.

We have received about 1.5 inches of rain over the past two days with more predicted. I really needed some rain, it seems like nearly two months since we have had a decent rain.
So, needless to say that rain really got the weeds in the seedling beds growing. Not many yet, and I have managed to keep the seedling beds fairly clear of weeds even though the only mulching they have received has been the oak leaves and little pine straw that falls naturally from the trees. All the other beds are deep in mulch now, so very few weeds there.
Just received my plant of Ginormous in a trade with Marcia, and it is a beauty. Three beautiful fans than look like they were dug and handed to me directly. It was getting dark, but I had everything ready, label and hole and now it is in my garden. Can't wait for spring!
So glad this rain has come at the perfect time, and the next ten days show no cold weather still.
