This morning I found tiny elongated whitish wing like things sprinkled across topsoil where beets and carrots are planted. These things were along the south side of my house. They were not in another patch in another location. What has just nestled down into my soil????
Thanks for your time and help- I can't find anything on the internet that addresses this peculiar finding.

My guess would be termites. I've noticed that there is a time of year when they swarm and lose a lot of wings. My pool and yard have them for a week or so.

Hi Ahha, Welcome!

I agree, a photo of the tiny whitish "wings" will help in identifying what it is. That being said, some seeds appear to look like tiny wings as do some flower petals so perhaps something has blown from a nearby plant, shrub or tree?

Karen may be onto something, I didn't even think about termites! Check out these images for comparison:

They could be flower petals or seeds. Most termite wings aren't really white.

Thank you all for your time. Sorry, I was not able to get a photo, wasn't carrying my phone at the time. I think they were tiny wings, not flower petals or seeds, although that was my first impression. And if they are from termites, it doesn't seem to pose a threat to my plants, and thankfully, not to the brick.
Thanks again Thank You!

Sure sounds like termites. They come out of the ground, swarm, drop their wings. It is interesting to watch but...not good.

Don't some ants do that too?
