That would jump you to their personal profile, where one of the buttons is :
"Send Xxxx a Tree-Mail"

You just didn't scroll down far enough after reading the ID!
You can find both your threads by clicking on your profile (either your member name in your post or the little blue person icon upper right of the page, and click the "View Posts Made by..."
