There is not much blooming in my yard today. But thought I would share a few shots anyway.
I think this is a type of poppie from the wintersewn seeds

A melva. Shown below. These guys self seed every year and pop up in different spots. I think of them as minature hollyhocks.

Is that Malva sylvestris?

I gave Malva sylvestris a try a few years back and ended up having to weed the volunteer seedlings out the following yea because they were too prolific (and in the lawn).

I don't have many blooms either, but I'm not expecting many. My focus is on foliage that's as colorful as blooms, but that doesn't require me to wait to see the color. The leaves are colorful every day.
