Hello, I'm planting lemon cucumber and persian cucumber for the first time. When I bought them, all the cucumber plants in the store had yellow specks so I didn't think anything of it. I thought maybe that's how they were supposed to be or they'd change but now, I'm not so sure. I went back today and saw other plants without these specks. I'm worried I may have bought diseased plants. Can someone help? The plants are growing and not showing any signs of wilting.

Sorry to say you should not have bought these plants. Already having some sort of fungal diseases.

Hope I am wrong, but it sure looks like Downy Mildew, the worst fungal disease on cucumbers that I have ever dealt with. never found any fungicide to control it once established. If it is destroy the plants and do not try to replant the cucumber in the same area. If you growing in containers, dump the growing medium, and clean the containers ( soak in clorox or something similar

@farmerdill, thanks! Sad that my first lesson on cucumber growing is "what not to do".

Which zone are you?
You still could sow some seeds perhaps?
In a different spot or container?

@carolinescott, haha. I did sow some seeds today after seeing more diseased cucumber plants at another store. I am in zone 10. Keeping fingers crossed. Crossing Fingers!
