Have a few Lavender plants, was wondering about pruning...everything I've read seems all over the place. When, how much and what part of the plant? I have Hidcote and put in a Phenomenal last spring. Thanks

It's my favorite variety. I always prune after it's done blooming, usually just the spent flower stems, no deeper than the green sections. If I cut into the woody stem, it rarely gets new growth. If I don't trim back at all, it gets real woody and dryish looking in the bottom half and they loose their nice shape. If that happens, I just start over. nodding
