I just noticed these mysterious tiny black eggs on my squash plants leaves and on the wood chips/twigs around my squash plants. Does anyone know what bug laid these eggs and how to get rid of the eggs and the bugs for good?

I see what appears to be Leaf Miner tracts on that leaf so the black things may be the excrement of whatever moth/wasp/fly has attacked your squash plant.

My guess is that it could be a slime mold, check out these images:

I think there's too much to be frass from a single leafminer and they typically poop inside the mine anyway. Also it wouldn't be "going" on the non-edible mulch to that extent.
