The following photos will show the native fauna changes on the north end of Tampa Bay.
The shoreline is almost exclusively occupied by mangroves. The mangroves give way to grasses and saw palmettos, giving way to pine, oak and sabal.

Beautiful series of photos! Brings back fond memories of a Florida visit from several years ago.

Just got back from punta gorda. Very similar. Here's a mangrove bird rookery up the peace river.
