It's that time of year again. The 5 and 10k walks took place on May 20th. There were plenty of peonies in bloom as well as many still in bud. My favorite place to volunteer as usual was at the 5k checkpoint at Sebright Hosta Gardens. This is where we stamp the walkers start cards to show they made it that far.

The first set of photos were taken at Sebright.

Might as well throw in a hosta since the peonies so far posted are at the hosta place...

After my shift was finished at Sebright I headed over to Adelman's where I was scheduled to "sweep" (remove directional signage) the 5k trail. For walkers doing only 5k the walk was entirely in the peony growing field. My first photos though were taken in the display garden, always a joy to walk through.

Gotta squeeze in a bit of garden art, the display garden is loaded with garden art!

Heading out to the field now, I didn't catch the names as I was busy pulling up signage for the walk...

I believe these were grown for cutting flowers.

The growing fields are rotated around the property, this one was planted with crimson clover this year, so beautiful!

With all the signage picked up I headed back to the display garden. I saw this one and wondered how I missed it. The sun was just right to give such beautiful images of Garden Peace.

Thanks Connie. There's nothing like a peony walk in Oregon I would imagine. The colors are so vibrant. It looks like you had a beautiful day for it too.

Thank you for sharing!

Wow, I love that row of yellow peonies for cutting. Wonder if those maybe Lemon Chiffon or Melissa or maybe a new yellow variety. Just beautiful, Connie. Your pics have convinced me that I definitely need to be at the APS convention in Oregon next year. Smiling Smiling Smiling Would love to see what seedlings of peonies the Adelman will have for future intros.

Where in Oregon is this convention going to be? Salem would be a good place to have it. I bet there will be a visit to Adelman's. I don't grow peonies but I sure do enjoy seeing them around my neighborhood and at the peony farm.

I think it is supposed to be in Salem but not absolutely sure, saw a post by Carol Adelman that said there would be a tour of their farm.
